How to save a shared ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini conversation

Updated · By Chatelope (Hilo Inc)

Share links are how people pass AI conversations around, but a link can be deleted by its owner at any time. Saving the conversation gives you your own copy, and it’s also the fastest way to get a single chat into Chatelope without a full export.

Supported share links

  • ChatGPT: https://chatgpt.com/share/…
  • Claude: https://claude.ai/share/…
  • Gemini: https://g.co/gemini/share/…

Save a shared conversation

  1. Copy the share link.
  2. Open Import in Chatelope and paste the link.
  3. Chatelope fetches the public conversation and adds it to your library, where you can search, tag and file it with everything else.

On Android you can share a link straight from your browser or the assistant app to Chatelope.

Share your own conversation to save it

The same trick works for your own chats. Create a share link in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and paste it in. It’s a quick way to keep an important conversation without waiting for a full export.
